Sanyo CO2 Hot Water Heater

The Sanyo CO2 hot water heater, Eco or Ecocute heating system as it is alternatively named, uses reclaimed CO2 as a refrigerant to recover heat from atmosphere and provide hot water at 65°C. Previously, Heat Pump systems have used HFCs as a refrigerant with the resulting temperatures only sufficient for low temperature uses such as under-floor heating, relying on electric heaters to boost the temperature.
Water Temperatures High Enough for Radiators
The Sanyo CO2 system can provide water temperatures high enough for radiators without electric heaters and will maintain its output in low winter temperatures without resorting to electric boost heater.
Although the initial expense is high compared to conventional system, running costs are substantially lower than alternative forms of heating, particularly if using oil or electric boilers, and with a life expectancy of 15 years or more, you can expect costs to be recouped for most applications.
CO2 Hot Water Heater Installation
Installation is straight forward but must be carried out by an approved installer. You can contact us for a list of installers who can provide you with a quote. Alternatively, your nominated fitter can become approved by attending a day’s course at Sanyo’s headquarters near Croydon.
